You're absolutely correct that the transfer thing is out of control. But, it's legal under the current rules. I dislike it as much as you, and hope it will be changed.

I don't like Wisconsin fighting this battle because I don't see any chance for a Wisconsin positive outcome in result or derivative public relations. I only envision bad things for Wisconsin out of this

it's like wisconsin is saying the quiet part out loud. nothing good can come from this.

This, exactly.

This is the primary reason I can't get excited about recruiting, that I can't get excited about the roster, and that I can't get excited about the future prospects of the team.

yeah, even if these guys all show up in madison, if the badgers have a bad year - which they almost certainly will considering their 2025 schedule - many of them will probably enter the portal to try to get on a better team.
