2025 Badger Football Thread

I agree that the Big 10 is using UW as a test on this - to get some ruling that they can use as a starting point going forward.
But all this hopping around multiple times in one transfer window is getting crazy - and it's gotten out of hand. I know Mark and others disagree, but I believe there needs to be some better "guidance" around the transfer rules.

You're absolutely correct that the transfer thing is out of control. But, it's legal under the current rules. I dislike it as much as you, and hope it will be changed.

I don't like Wisconsin fighting this battle because I don't see any chance for a Wisconsin positive outcome in result or derivative public relations. I only envision bad things for Wisconsin out of this

it's like wisconsin is saying the quiet part out loud. nothing good can come from this.

Four-Star wide receiver Jayden Petit has committed to Wisconsin. Petit is a 6'4"-195# WR from Naples, FL. He had offers from Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida State, Texas A&M, among others. He had recently taken official visits to Mizzou, North Carolina, and Oklahoma.

Now can they keep him.

I really want to get excited about the new Badgers, but in today's climate, who knows if they'll ever suit up for the Badgers.
This, exactly.

This is the primary reason I can't get excited about recruiting, that I can't get excited about the roster, and that I can't get excited about the future prospects of the team.

yeah, even if these guys all show up in madison, if the badgers have a bad year - which they almost certainly will considering their 2025 schedule - many of them will probably enter the portal to try to get on a better team.
