Then you are going to have QBs getting hurt at a huge rate as DBs and LBs go to take there heads off. Do you want to see Love out for the season with a injury?I agree with CD. I believe they've actually put a fake slide rule in where if a QB fakes the slide he's down at the start of the fake - at least in college. If the QB crosses the line of scrimmage they should be treated as a runner
I want Love to not fart around and go down earlyThen you are going to have QBs getting hurt at a huge rate as DBs and LBs go to take there heads off. Do you want to see Love out for the season with a injury?
You get rid of the slide rule they are not down until contact you will see players on defense nail them to make sure they are down by contact.I want Love to not fart around and go down early
Actually yes, I think 5 yards is right. Anything closer than that, QBs should be taught to brace for a hit, not rely on a slide. That’s still leaving too much up to ref interpretation during the speed of a game. Unless you’re talking making QB slide three yards away from any defender.
If you want to be a runner then get treated like one. If you’re wearing less pads than an RB then don’t run.
That’s the way it used to be. QBs just learned not to be dumb. It’s giving QB an unfair advantage the way the rules are now. Don’t want your QB to get hurt in a run play? Don’t let him run. Then you are going to have QBs getting hurt at a huge rate as DBs and LBs go to take there heads off. Do you want to see Love out for the season with an injury?
Crybaby Campbell doing the same crap in SF that he did in GB. Blamed everyone but himself when the Packers cut him and now refused to play in a game in SF.
49ers LB De'Vondre Campbell refusesd to enter Thursday night’s game against the Rams after losing his starting spot.
Good lord, he’s toast
Thinking of it this way - one of the reasons "running" Qb's are more successful today than historically is because in the past, once a QB started running he was "fair game". And especially now, when many of the qb's that run more aren't as big as the "stereotypical" pocket passer . . .That’s the way it used to be. QBs just learned not to be dumb.
