Yeah the Jets were the only team that wanted him in 2023 and if they don’t, who will? Guys in the locker room - both in GB and NY - love him but undeniably things become a circus. Just something about him. Others have said it forever, if he’s throwing 35+ TDs and 6 INTs you deal with the circus. Now? Heck no.
If he's a FA and willing to take say a 15 million dollar salary some team would put up with him next year. But I don't know if he would be willing to take something like that or a incentive based deal. Only teams that would want him are teams that are likely drafting a QB and want Rodgers to mentor the rookie for a year. I know some have said MN but I don't know if MN would want to delay McCarthy another year. Darnold is likely going to be offered starter money by some team and I think MN will feel that even though McCarthy did not play he was still able to sit and watch and learn enough to start. So would then Rodgers go to a team like the Giants or Raiders and say ok I will play here a year knowing we suck and that my replacement could replace me later in the year if we are stinking and they want to get him on the field? I don't think Rodgers would want to do that personally.
