2024 NFL Season Thread

What do the football minds here think of the Vikings? To me I don’t see more than 1-2 other teams playing better ball than them right now but I don’t know. Lot of schematic stuff cooked up on D but Flores has done this before and once it’s figured out they get cooked.

We will see over the next four weeks. So far they’ve played the Giants, SF, and HOU decent teams but not dominant.

Not being willing to trade Young probably has to do with what they'd lose in cap, plus how little they'd get in return. If they're gonna take a big hit on the cap, they may as well keep him, and work with him, and hope that he suddenly catches lightning in a bottle, and lives up to the hype, and they can get something of value for him, and cost them less in dead cap, by it being next year.
Teppers ego won’t let him trade Young right now since he’s the one who wanted him.

I’m not sure CAR has the coaching talent to really help him…

The Vikings are a balanced team that can do quite well with a QB who plays within their system. They have the play makes on offense, and on defense, they are ball hawks who are opportunistic. They're going to be a tough match up for the Packers next week, and for the entire season.

I think both the Packers and Vikings could make the playoffs, along with Detroit. It don't happen often, but if everyone pretty much runs the slate outside of their division, it can happen. The Bears, at this point, seem to stand alone a few steps back.

But, just my opinion. A lot of games left to see what happens.

Playing over their heads right now. Seem to have been getting a lot of home field bounces, GB gets them at home first which is a big advantage. If we can get pressure like Sunday and shut down Jones they are cooked.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is seeing a specialist in Germany regarding his Achilles tendinitis.

Sure seems like he might be done for the year. You don't fly to Europe for that unless you are being told you probably need surgery.

Germany? There really is no specialist in the US for this?

Lots of alternate treatments in Europe, not as of yet approved in the US. The same applies to countries South of us. A good example is stem cell treatment.

In fact, my wife and I know someone who was almost on death's bed, who went to Mexico for stem cell treatments for his problem, and as of last week, he was on his feet, and playing pickle ball. Not bad for a guy that less than a year ago had made his own plans for how his funeral would be handled.

But, this is a choice we all need to make on our own. Hopefully he can find what he needs in Germany.

gonna be a lot of media hype on jones vs packers and jones vs jacobs.

Watched the vikings game against the texans. O’Connell had guys schemed open left and right in the middle of the field. Don’t think the D matches up well with them right now, frankly.
