2023-24 Milwaukee Bucks Season Thread

Hope this Bucks team can figure out at least by mid-quarter how to play together. They keep having these wins were they are just getting past the other team. I know they said it will take some time to come together. If it's a coaching issue I hope the players tell Griffin hey let us do our thing and you just sit there and pretend you are doing something.
Too many peaks and valleys in their game. They work hard, then they want to coast. If the shots aren't falling, and they coast, they get whipped. Looking at Griffen, when they show him, he looks like someone who is kind of "out of touch" with what's happening on the floor. It's like he's searching his mind for an answer, not responding to the situation as it unfolds.

In the NBA, you have to be able to change up on offense and defense on the fly. You need to create favorable match ups, not let the other team dictate them. Alas, we're seeing the other teams creating them, by keeping the Bucks out of the lead.

Watching last night, he is reverting to Lopez pretty much being an outsider. He needs to be in the middle rejecting shots, and forcing changes in shots at the rim. Teams are getting too comfortable at close range because the defense that Griffen wants has Lopez out of position to defend the rim.

Until I see them reel of a string of wins, and dominate a few games, I don't see anything more than an over priced team, with a less than knowledgeable leader as HC. I keep getting stuck on the Stotts thing. When he brought him in, my first thought was he was going to have Stotts lay the law down on defense. Then..... Not a good look.

Seems everyone was saying Giannis getting T'd up and thrown out was BS call and this refs needs to face a punishment.

refs reasons are a joke both times for a T. Refs must have had money on Detroit

Bucks lose again. Man is it the coach is it the players? This team is clearly not living up to the hype it was given.

Based on the number of lower tier bench player on the court during the game, it's possible that Griffin viewed the game as disposable. Seemed like Giannis was the only one really putting out an good effort out there.

I'm beginning to worry about how this team plays defense. It's almost non-existent. If they have any significant failure from the 3-point line, and/or the free throw line, they're in deep trouble. Then there's their rebounding. They give up an enormous number of second and third chances in crunch time, and it's costing them leads, and giving the opposition a key advantage, when the Bucks are behind.

At this point, I'm not a bit enthused with Griffen's coaching, and the way the team plays as a unit, on the floor. These long runs, and huge leads the opposition is building up, and the way huge leads we have evaporate tells me that something is also wrong in the hustle department.

The Bucks have a lot of work to do, and it has to be done soon.

Bucks win only 118-109 vs Chicago and Chicago is not a good team. At this point right now I don't see the Bucks even getting to the ECF.

Bucks get their most dominate win of the season without Giannis. Means time to trade Giannis. LOL

Watching the Bucks dismantle Toronto, with Giannis in civvies. It was Dame's game. Lillard with 37, Beasley with 30. They were rifling the ball around the court, and moving to create openings. They weren't sitting out there watching Giannis decide whether he should shoot a 3, or drive to the bucket. As a team, shot over 50% from the field, and over 50% from 3 point range!

Saw players take on roles and embrace them. As I've been saying, for quite some time, this can't be a one man team, with everyone standing around watching to see what Giannis wants to do.
