BREAKING: The Portland Trail Blazers are trading guard Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, sources tell ESPN.

Full trade, per sources:

- Bucks: Damian Lillard
- Blazers: Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, 2029 first-round Bucks pick and Bucks pick swap
- Suns: Jusuf Nurkic, Nassir Little, Keon Johnson, Grayson Allen

Lillard under contract for 23-24 then has a player option for 24-25 so this is pretty much a one year gamble.

The Bucks emerged as the consensus favorites to win the NBA title after the trade, with odds around 4-1 at U.S. sportsbooks. Milwaukee had been listed as the fourth-favorite, behind the defending-champion Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics and Suns.

What a build up to the season! Wow!

I couldn't believe my ears when I head it.

I wonder how well Giannis and Dame will blend their games? Then there's the issue of who our point guards will be. I'm going to wait for preseason to start making judgements. No doubt, the Bucks are going all out to win at least one, maybe two, and them spend five to six years in the cellar.

Bucks still paying on the Holiday trade with NOLA but got a title out of it and hopefully trading him again leads to another title with Dame.

So Bucks have open roster spot but I don't know if they have any real cap space to sign anyone. I can see them keep the roster spot open and wait until after the trade deadline and there are vets getting buyouts and sign a guy to the pro-rated min.

Only thing depending how you see it is that MKE could be chasing titles today for being the worst team in the league in 4-5 years. You will have a roster with either a Giannis past his prime or no Giannis at all. Plus you won't have any picks at all to rebuild this roster with. By 4-5 years from not this could be a 15-20 win basketball team. Now if MKE can win a title or two in the next few years I think it will be easier to say ok yeah we are awful now but we at least got a championship out of it. Though if the Bucks don't win a title or two in the next few years the next 4-5 years will be very hard to deal with as we gave up the future to get nothing out of it.
