2023-24 Milwaukee Bucks Season Thread

If it was a one off game, I'd say they got lucky. The fact is, this keeps playing out game after game. If it can't be corrected, get rid of players and start rebuilding with a team that can play both sides of the ball. The Dame trade was a horrendous decision.

Griffin wasn't the only one that needed to be fired. Horst should have been sent packing too. He's done nothing towards improving this team. His trades are hurting the future of this team, and getting nothing for today.
One more thing related to coaching. Giannis continues to get offensive foul calls against him, in situations where LeBron WOULD get the call. Part of it is that Giannis is "more physical", but he needs to be coached around how to get that call like all the other superstars.

So Lillard spent all off-season crying how he wanted out of Portland and to Miami. Well he got out now last night he was saying well maybe I will come back and finish my career in Portland. Can't have it both ways.

I couldn't agree more.

Like they say. The grass is always greener over the septic tank. But, I don't think he really wanted to go to Milwaukee. If he had his choice, it would probably be the last place he'd pick.

Now, I think he's mad at himself for letting it happen. He just don't fit into the defensive game Milwaukee needs to play.

Giannis had 2 offensive foul calls in H2 last night that were both borderline. one of them it looked like he just barreled over the guy, but in actuality he was mid-step when the defender got to the spot and there was really no room for Giannis to come down without bumping him. Another one he was trying to split 2 defenders (tight space) and the defender actually slid a bit to close the gap.

What a lot of officials fail to realize is that Giannis is taking his last step near the free throw line, and the guy has to be planted before that foot comes down to get a charge call. They're sliding into position after the foot is down, and he's beginning his jump. That is blocking, plain and simple.

He does not get the calls that Embiid and LeBron get, that's for sure.

Last night, I believe it was Connaughton, was fouled on a 3 attempt. The guy's foot came down right under the straight down landing spot. He ended up twisting his ankle, and even with the review, they did not call it. They called a jump ball and that was pure bogus, because those 3 free throws could have ended up winning the game for the Bucks at that point. It swayed the results at the end, because of the points and possession.

MKE won't get calls. NBA does not want MKE to win a title it's to small time for them.

That's always the case. They don't draw a big enough viewing audience, or people interested in info on them. That's the fate of a lot of NBA franchises. It's all about the big markets, and even some of them are snubbed. Especially if the owner is controversial, like Mark Cuban has been.

Big time coverage for Knicks, Celtics, and third, the 76ers in the East. In the West, it's the Lakers, and Golden State. Without question those 5 get the most publicity, and the best calls from officials.

See Giannis and Lillard were named starters in ASG.

Exactly. those teams will always get the more favorable calls . . . and now with LeBron at the Lakers, it's magnified. But the LeBron fan club think he's the GOAT because of his stats. And make no mistake, a team that is now 25-25 in total, and 19-25 in non-IST games, doesn't go 7-0 and win the IST without help from the officiating. IT's hard to get excited about something when it's obviously rigged like the IST was.
