What a lot of officials fail to realize is that Giannis is taking his last step near the free throw line, and the guy has to be planted before that foot comes down to get a charge call. They're sliding into position after the foot is down, and he's beginning his jump. That is blocking, plain and simple.
He does not get the calls that Embiid and LeBron get, that's for sure.
Last night, I believe it was Connaughton, was fouled on a 3 attempt. The guy's foot came down right under the straight down landing spot. He ended up twisting his ankle, and even with the review, they did not call it. They called a jump ball and that was pure bogus, because those 3 free throws could have ended up winning the game for the Bucks at that point. It swayed the results at the end, because of the points and possession.
