2022 NFL News

Only reason NFLPA and Watson came out and said this is that they know they got a favorable ruling I still thin owners will push Goodell to appeal and suspend him foor full seaosn

Doubtful her ruling was leaked. If they knew and were offered 8 games they declined? The NFLPA is making a PR play here
He got 6 games they knew that was coming and was happy with it thus want NFL to accept it

So basically the policy is worthless? It’s also why neither side wants an appeal. Last thing they want is a court challenge
Owners think they are above the law to say Goodell works for them

Both sides wanted a settlement. And assuming they negotiated yesterday was telling. All the sides know Is a ruling is coming. Deadlines spur actions
From what people say owenrs want a full year

In the days leading up to Robinson's decision, the league and Watson's side engaged in further settlement talks, sources told ESPN's Dan Graziano, but neither side ever felt they were close to an agreement. The most Watson's side indicated it was willing to offer was a suspension in the range of six to eight games, according to sources. The best the league indicated it was willing to offer was a 12-game suspension and a significant fine -- in the range of $8 million, sources said. While the NFLPA said it will not appeal the decision, the league still has the right to appeal.

So Watson and NFLPA got exctally what they wanted and are happy as can be. NFL IMO will appeal they got nothing close to what they wanted.
