So Michael Thomas placed on PUP by NOLA. Have to question this guy. Missed all of last year with ankle injury and still not ready to go?

To me it just shows how desperate teams are to keep the talented QB no matter the cost. Usually if you can't trust the guy to watch film and better himself after getting paid, you just don't pay him in the first place. AZ trying to have their cake and eat it too. Very odd, and sounds humiliating for Murray to have this built into the contract.

I agree but at the same time Burkhart agreed to it which honestly is more shocking. Only thing I can think of is the contract structure gives them some leverage down the road

This explains a lot. The workout bonuses are rather large
