2022 NFL News

The problem is that they are only “on air” 8 weeks out of the year so the impressions would be minimal.

Coke is more interested in vending / pouring rights, they don’t need the brand exposure. Just look at who the recent deals are with, Fin Tech, Crypto. They need brand building

I see your point. There would definitely need to be some ways beyond just the visuals of the stadium to project the Coke name beyond that point. I just don't want to see them teaming up with Dallas and it becoming the Coca-Cola Cowboys. We all know it's the Cocaine Cowboys.

EDIT: More venues at the stadium. Rock concert, hockey game, etc. All those would be added advertising for them. Then there's the venues surrounding the stadium. I'd bet a shiny nickel something could be done, but not certain where it should lead.

Don’t worry about Dallas, they have a long term deal with Pepsi. That said Coke is, not a naming rights brand. They spend most of their marketing $$ on pouring rights and retail distribution. They have even cut much of their exposure for ESPN Game Day. Just not something they invest in, the brand is big enough

Just a tidbit. Pepsi is the “Official “ soft drink of the NFL but 14 teams designate Coke as their official soft drink partner

I believe the naming rights over Lambeau Field would be a little better than the $3-5 mill range. I'd agree, except for the statements made by FlaPack about the Packers being one of the three most watched games on the schedule, when broadcast nationally. Just having the name floated with the Packers, like Coca-Cola, as was commented, it would be a cheap advertising investment. With someone like Coke, the opportunities would be endless, including tailgate involvement, logo on tickets, just about everything. Obviously more recognizable than a bank, or other entity, that's local.

If I was Coke, I'd go after that puppy, and if I was the Packers, I'd like locking up with them, because the Green Bay Packers and the Coca-Cola brands are two of the most well known in the US. Just my opinion.
Major issue is you are only getting 8-9 home games a year to get your money out of that. Outside of that GB being a small city you likely are not getting any other value out of it.

They probably get that for the naming of the gates there now in total, about $3m for the entire “package”.
I thought I read few years back GB was trying this in place of selling stadium rights as they want to keep "tradtion"

GB is one of the teams that sell coke products

TW thing is Packers brass have said they want only 1 outside event a year at Lambeau because otherwise the field could be damaged and would have to replace to often.

Which was my point above In this discussion. And Coke & Pepsi have historically been on the outside looking in when it comes to naming rights. Last one I can remember is the Pepsi Center in Denver years back.

Soft drink conglomerates what the 18-24 audience which is not what this spend what’s to reach. They both have ample brand recognition and they are hell bent on pouring rights

Tech and Financial company’s seem to be the ones most associated with ponying up for naming rights.
Does WI have someone with a big enough footprint to make the idea viable?
