2021-2022 Milwaukee Bucks

See point #1 which is the main reason
But also how does ratings go when team has been horrible year before will that factor in knowing Lakers are trash even with Lebron and networks say give us more games of young stars that are the future.

The league could give a rats ass about ratings. The TV schedules are mutually agreed on and I’ll bet you a week in the Bahamas that TNT won’t give up LA games. It’s the second largest media market in the country. Lakers are like the Cowboys. A National brand

Though Networks at some point need to get over LeBron being a draw he's not what he once was people want to see more of the young stars IMO.

It’s the LA market not Bron. No different why the Knicks are on tube

Yeah but national market could give a crap about LA market
Disagree. The comp is the Cowboys and to some extent Pittsburgh and GB. All 3 are national brands just like the Lakers. Go to an NBA game and see the Lakers jerseys. In Atlanta it’s probably 20% LA fans in the stands for a game. And it’s just not a Bron thing. It was the same with Kobe all the way back to Showtime days. Hell there is documentary on the Lakers on now. It’s the brand that matters

Seeing as how I was a Lakers fan all the way back to when they were in Minneapolis, and went to games, I can tell you that they were instantly popular on the West coast, the minute they moved, because of the people who sat court side. It was a picture of who's who in the movies, TV, and entertainment. It was a ticket that came with exposure to the public, and instantly drew people into their net. It worked very well.

It was that celebrity that filled the stadium, and made them a TV dandy right from the start. It cemented them as a fixture in the NBA.

It was the move to LA by the Lakers that opened up nearly half of the US as a TV audience for their games. Until then, about the furthest West the NBA was popular was St. Louis and Minneapolis. It was an East coast "thing." Out West, it was college basketball almost exclusively.

To me I rather see a good game between good teams then some big market garbage team

And if the Packers were 4-9 you would still watch which is the point. The fan base will always watch. Again. They are a national brand with a national following
