I still think the East is going to get walked over in the finals.Miami is not especially deep, neither is Utah or Boston. Horton - Tucker is fine so is Ariza. Losing Davis really hurt them

I don’t. Phoenix is probably the class of the conference but GS has its warts and honestly so does PhoenixI still think the East is going to get walked over in the finals.
Memphis is hot right now and GS I think cranks it up for playoffs and PHX is class of NBAI don’t. Phoenix is probably the class of the conference but GS has its warts and honestly so does Phoenix
It’s about matchups. Always has been in the playoffs always will be. Milwaukee/ GS is damn even, Phoenix has a slight edge but not by a wide margin. Morant has to carry MemphisMemphis is hot right now and GS I think cranks it up for playoffs and PHX is class of NBA
I agree with most of this, except for one minor clarification. I think the league cares more about the ratings than you do, especially when it comes to LeBron. He's been "their guy" for quite a few years now, and the networks give him and his team more exposure than would be warranted by how this season is playing out.Just a note on ratings….
It’s a nice narrative and story but the networks care 10x more than the league does about ratings. The rights checks have been cashed and if they are up 10% or down 15% the only consequence is how the networks deal with advertisers. Some of the TV money is tied into league sponsorships anyway which is just one layer. Ratings up nets are happy, down then might have to give makegoods but not all deals are written that way.
No league cares about ratings except for some news bit to keep the news cycle alive. Media rights are not going to take a hit in the foreseeable future because it’s the only content that can get premium pricing. Remember the NFL is dead narrative a few years ago with taking a knee? Yeah nice media rights increase. Same with MLB. LA get games because of media market size.I agree with most of this, except for one minor clarification. Also, I don't think the league will "officiate" the Lakers into the playoffs. However, if they do get in, my prior point was don't be surprised if they get "officiated" through the play-in games; it happened last year.
LeBron does not tip needle on ratings much anymore IMO people want to see good basketball not a crap team that will get bounched right awayI agree with most of this, except for one minor clarification.
