Well that’s my point. The Packers are a national brand and the fan base will watch. Just like Dallas , just like the Lakers. Follow the moneyYeah as a Packer fan but most the national crowed would not care

But don't you want just more then one fan base to watch if the team is bad and not a good team to draw in all fans?Well that’s my point. The Packers are a national brand and the fan base will watch. Just like Dallas , just like the Lakers. Follow the money
The NFL national draws are accurate. As to NBA it’s probably LA and everyone. MLB? I’ll say the Cubs are probably the best national brand, it’d like a cult following to some extent. Probably NY after that because of legacy. If I was to guess, in the NBA, it's the Lakers and Celtics with the largest "national draw." In the NFL, probably GB, Dallas, and Pittsburgh. The NY draw is huge, but more local. At one time, the 49ers were part of that mix, but that shine has left them.
In hockey, it's so damned territorial that I wouldn't even venture a guess. In baseball, the Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers would be the three that I see carrying the most national interest.
All of this is just shooting from the hip on my part, based on what I seem to think I see happening. No evidence to back it up.
The numbers prove it out. And not all fans want to watch Milwaukee or Dallas or Phoenix. Honestly a Phoenix Milwaukee game at 7:30 would not do the same numbers as Lakers / Miami. Like it or not that’s realityBut don't you want just more then one fan base to watch if the team is bad and not a good team to draw in all fans?
For being a franchise that won nothing for 100 years they did build a huge national fan base.I definitely forgot the Cubs. That's a carry over from the old WGN TV nationwide draw.
Exactly. Fan bases are loyal. I have a friend who is a Lakers fan, he’s from Iowa, lives in Florida. He’s been a fan since MagicI definitely forgot the Cubs. That's a carry over from the old WGN TV nationwide draw.
I was not a fan of the field of dreams game last year seems you hit a pop up it was a HR last year.Iowa is interesting. They're big time Cubs fans, and somewhat White Sox fans.
I wanted to go to the Field of Dreams game this past summer, but couldn't make it, and wasn't willing to pay the price for tickets either. So, looking at a possible field trip this summer, so I can soak it all in.
Of course, being a White Sox fan, it all holds a special meaning, even though it's all based on fiction. Sometimes that's even better than the real world.
