Bobby Portis opts out

Thing is Philly won't just trade Simmons because he wants out deal has to get them something back they like
It’s an Anthony Davis / Harden situation. Hard to navigate more so when your not in a position like NOLA or Houston where your in rebuild mode. Philadelphia is built to win now

Yeah but they get a star back you do it. Simmons is not happy and if they are muddling along in playoffs but likely won't do much in playoffs why not make a move.

Fine after the season open it up again but I’m not breaking up a team that’s probably a 3-5 seed just to rid you of one guy.

Yeah but will the do anything or are they just fodder in the 1st round?
Who knows and that’s not the point. You don’t trade your star in that position unless your getting legit impact guys back

If they want to be moved what do you do? Simmons does not seem a fit back in Portland and getting young guys back in a multi team trade might be best bet and rebuild.

Unless the package of picks is enormous. When you're rebuilding, you often need to find that franchise player.

Philadelphia is not in a rebuild mode. Not even remotely
