2021 Off Season Thread

So 5 years the GBP will be stuck with these throwbacks? I wish they would go a modern alternate jersey instead of these stupid throwbacks

Packers sign linebacker De'Vondre Campbell. Previously played for the Falcons and Cardinals. Not an "answer" at ILB, but certainly a guy who could compete for snaps in a very mediocre group. I assume that Barnes and Martin are on the team for sure. McDuffie is likely to make it as long as he's not a complete flop though I suppose they could try to get him on the PS. Summers also seems like a likely option since he plays hard and works on special teams.

Campbell seems like he would be in the mix at cut-down unless someone else surprises. Not to say he'd be the 4th/5th on game day. He could well be the 2nd/3rd guy depending on how things play out. There is so little talent there that he could end up being the starter in "base".

This is a interesting signing. 5 year vet started 70 out of 75 games. But was on the FA market into June so have to wonder how good he is. Also makes me wonder if guys like Martin and Barnes did not look so sharpe in OTA's they are making this move. Summers is what he is a ST guy who should not see the field unless a injury happens.

He’s fine as a run stopper but really struggled in coverage.

Packers sign their 5th QB. Jake Dolegala played out of Central Connecticut was a UDFA with Cincy in 2019 and spent part of last year on NE PS

Also they will not check for anyone vaccation cards so pretty much no one will wear a mask.

De'Vondre Campbell's one-year deal with the Packers is worth $2 million and all but assures he will be on the 53 because of the $1.01 million signing bonus. Base salary is $990K and it has 4 automatically voidable years that allowed them to prorate the SB for cap purposes. Only $202K of the SB counts on this year's cap for a total cap charge of $1.192M. The rest of the prorated SB ($808K) counts on 2022 cap.
