2021 Off Season Thread

Except for the overvaluing our own has won how many SB the past decade ??? I'll answer my own question.... NONE. The goal is to win a championship each year not to put together a roster of men that everyone loves. The true definition of insanity is to do the samething over and over again and expecting a different result.

I hear you. They overvalue too many guys. I was just pointing out that the annual "winners" in free agency don't win Super Bowls either. There's always some team like the Jets signing shiny new toys in FA to fix a crappy roster and it never works either. While the Packers overvaluing their own is certainly a contributor to not winning more championships, it seems to me that their ho-hum draft picks are the bigger problem over the past 5-6 years.

Kevin King is one such Ho hum draft pick, and they won’t let him go. Compounding the problem...

Looking if the Packers throw in the towel after this season and move on from Rodgers, Smiths, Amos, Crosby, Lowry that would cut over $72 million off the salary cap.

I think, if he doesn't perform better, he'll be gone after this season. Is that a bold, enlightening, prediction or what?!?!?

Or he has a ok year and like Nick Perry before gets a big money ext that 1 year into shows was a mistake to give him.

Depending on how Kings contract is structured and what his likely to be earned money is, GB has between $6m and $11m dollars allocated next year to Chandon Sullivan, Josh Jackson and Kevin King. Those are three players who are not starting caliber, and in Jackson’s case not even worthy of the active roster, who not only are taking up a big chunk of cap space, but are also creating a log jam of dead wood at the CB spot which hurts overall roster talent level. That’s not the way to do things!

GB signed Mercedes Lewis, 2 years up to $8m. Keeping a flawed team intact.
