Who will be the Next GB Head Coach ?

Monken might be a little too creative for the Packers, but I do think it would be one hell of an exciting first year.

I always like Al Saunders back in the day and was hoping the Pack would hire him because he seemed to run that Air Coryell type offense.

Packers mean to hire Al Saunders instead hire Bernie Sanders. LOL

Todd Monken is a weird interview. Never on my radar. Thought that Koetter ran that offense.

I wonder if they just interviewed him because he was available in New Orleans?

Is age a consideration, I wonder? MM is 55 but has the bearing of an "old coach". He was hired in his early 40's.

Caldwell and Pagano are older, pushing 60 or more. Todd Monken is 52.

Everyone else on the list is a good deal younger. Personally I think going with a younger coach is the way to go. I know there are some exceptions out there but if this is a hire meant to make the best out of AR's career and take the team beyond, I think you want someone with the energy to grow into the role.

I think, in the one article I posted, it showed the points his offense was putting up. Pretty good numbers then Koetter, for some undisclosed reason, took over the offense for one game and they put up 3 points. He gave the playcalling duties back the next game.

This maybe meaningless on Monken but he was the HC and had success at Southern Miss, turned a dumpster fire around. You think a former Southern Miss QB who is close to the program could have any influence with Murphy?

Can you say, Monken HC/Favre OC?!?

Nope, I think Monkin is an interesting guy but don't think his style mesh's with the Packer organization much.

Packers are zeroing in on hiring Titans' OC Matt LaFleur as their HC, sources tell @RobDemovsky and me . Packers have begun notifying other HC candidates that they've interviewed that they're out and the team has made its choice
