RB Jones back to Pack?

No he’s just as replaceable. He’s a “guy”.
I'll disagree with you there, he was a pure inside zone guy built for MM offense, and thus why he was drafted. He isn't suited for the outside zone run game at all... they were damn lucky that Jones adapted to it.

Wow tough crowd here lol.

When started this thread, most said no way, but yet he resigned.

He wanted to be back w Pack all along and he's a AR guy. He was the number 3 free agent on most boards.

Guess am in the minority that is ok with this signing. He is the 7th highest paid rb right now. He is loved in the locker room, puts in the time and work, is a willing blocker and very good hands as a receiver. Very few rookies come out as good blockers in pass game.

His deal sounds like basically a 2 year deal.

As far as Dillion goes, never looked at him as Jones replacement, but more like Williams.

Prior to resigning Jones had a player like NC's Micheal Carter as possible replacement in rds 2-3.

Then why waste a #2 on him?
Great Question, especially when most thought he was taken at least a round early. Blunders all around in the last draft and why they need to hit home runs in this draft that most of us aren't holding our breath on

That was always the question with the pick. It wasn’t as if he was a guy that could be special but we already had a good RB. He’s a guy that no one thought would or could be special.

If Gute drafted Dillon as "depth" in the 2nd round he should be fired. You don't draft backups in early rounds.

“Jones and the Packers agreed to terms on a four-year contract, which league sources tell FanSided is worth an average of $9.5 million per season with escalators that can push Jones’ APY to $14 million, if he hits certain incentives.”

That’s different than the flat $12m average being thrown around.

Structure matters.
