2020 may change the way teams operate for a few years until things return to more normal.
Don’t forget, they project the cap to go from ~$176M in 2021 to ~$220M in 2022 because of the new TV money.
For the 2-3 players you need to push money out a couple extra years in 2021 contracts, you can do it and then go back to business as normal after 2021.
Chalk up the change to another 2020 oddity.
