Mark Murphy Retirement Date Set

TT with better vision and planning could have made the district into something really cool that would have supported itself... But basically MM just went out and took whatever business agreed to come in no matter what.. There are always people staying in DC who mention wanting to go to Lambeau.

There is no design consistency at all. It's ugly. There is also no "football town" feel to it at all. It is very much something thrown together by an assistant AD who has no clue about marketing, design, etc...

Wasted opportunity. It could have been really cool with the right design/plan team. It isn't empty because of lack of interest it's empty because it sucks.

Hinterland is way overpriced and not that good. 1919 isn't that great either. And also overpriced. There is nothing to attract a family there in the summer either.
Also the titletown condo's are a joke. From $700K to $1.2 million. You can buy a lot of home for that much money in GB. Lot better then likely you will get from a Condo located across from Lambeau.

The Apts are also a joke. $1,100 a month for a studio to $3,200 for a 3 bed room

The Packers front office saw homes across the street from the field being turned into Packer club houses, with people paying a fortune to own them, or be able to stay in them, when visiting Lambeau, and/or attending a Packer game. They saw the money being generated, and that spent for entertainment. It's obvious they coveted that market, and decided to make it their own.

The problem is, a nice 3 bedroom ranch house with an attached garage across the street from the stadium, where a dozen or more loyal Packer fans gather for games, and a place to stay, and party, is not the same as an antiseptic condo that costs 4 times as much, and has restrictions that destroys the entire concept of "party!" It's just plain not the same, doesn't have the atmosphere, nor does it have anything to do with owning a piece of history.

I believe they even coveted the fact that so many homes within a couple blocks of the stadium would park up to a dozen cars on their lawns, and charge them up to $20 or more in the old days, so they had easy walk-able distance to the stadium.

If it's money, and has anything whatsoever to do with the Packers playing at Lambeau Field, or anything to do with even the lodging of off season travelers, they want it all, even if it means turning their back on the community that has supported them, and made their very existence possible.

It's sad that it's gone this way. It did not have to!

Heck before GB started this stupid stadium district you could buy one of those homes near Lambeau for 100-150K. Packers then decided to do their stupid thing and were paying 2-3 times value of these homes. They tore them all down and have done nothing at all with this land. This was the dumbest thing ever. If they had been smart they would have rented the homes out until they were ready to do something with the land.

My Wife fell in love with Celtic music. She saw Celtic Woman in concert, and has been a fan ever since. She's watching patiently for the next tour in the US, hoping they make it to Austin, or San Antonio.
I’ve watched them before as well.
Very entertaining

new england's stadium is also only 22 miles away from downtown boston. green bay's stadium isn't near any major city, and there is very little else to draw people there.
This is on point

Fine look at other facilities, but “read the room” and have a district that makes. Why they never let UWGB put the arena on site is at best baffling. Have a second venue indoors for concerts and events, hell increase capacity and try and get the Horizon tournament there.
