A really incredible season. Not much to complain about considering the expectations.
Give this young team more time to marinate. Bring in some competition for Carlson and upgrade at S and corner opposite #23.
The future is really bright boys and girls.
Playing with house money now. Really did not expect this team to come out last night and dominate after that recent bad stretch. Props to Gute for putting this team together, props to MLF for holding them together, and props to the players for coming ready to play and finishing the game.
Lions were the better team...but you spend the better part of a decade drafting in the top 10, you are going to amass talent.
Packers OL is hot garbage right now. Walker is probably serviceable as LT IF he's playing next to Jenkins...but not next Newman or any other stiff the Packers have...
3rd RB options:
Taylor: 33%
Wilson 33%
Neither 34%
I'd hang onto Wilson, but I didn't see him in there pass blocking much, so I doubt the Packers keep him over Taylor. It wouldn't shock me to see them both cut and attempt to get both on the PS to elevate them during the early season...
Love looked good against scrubs. Clifford looked good against scrubs. Wicks has game. Wilson can fly. Carlson won’t make the season. Starting D played well against scrubs.
It's hard to get too excited or disappointed playing against scrubs.
I don't get it. They were plenty "tough" late in the season and in the playoffs last year on D. They didn't lose anyone of significance.
You wonder if the whole team goes as Rodgers goes. He's looked disinterested in every loss, from the beginning of the game on. He had it out last weekend...
After reading through this thread, I feel like some here were just waiting for Love to make a mistake so they could pounce.
His play was not perfect, but his improvement was clear and evident. He commanded the offense, he directed formations, he went through his progressions, and he delivered...
Sure they did, USC and other big schools are using it to recruit everyday. NCAA can't and won't stop it because the courts more or less tied their hands. This is college athletics for the foreseeable future.
No he's looking out for himself because in life no one else does. Packer fans always cry foul when a player like Adams leave, it's kind of old to be honest. Just wish him well and move on.
Some ideas for round #4:
WR - Khalil Shakir, Bo Melton, Calvin Austin
TE - Isaiah Likely, Daniel Bellinger, TE Charlie Kolar
OG - Darian Kinnard, Jamaree Salyer
OT - Daniel Faalele, Rasheed Walker
DE - Kingsley Enagbare
DT - Perrion Winfrey
CB - Zyon McCallum, Tariq Woolen
Lots of options. I'm...
That's really what ML has been saying they need a speed WR to take the top off and want to work the rest underneath and run the FB. I honestly think Adams hindered them a bit in that AR kept checking to him too much.
Will miss the onfield chemistry Rodgers and Adams had, no doubt....however at times I think it got leaned on too heavily and took away from other aspects/options of the offense. I also won't miss paying a mid 30's receiver almost $30M a season on top of paying a 40ish yr old QB over $45M a...
