Wisconsin Football: Mertz tests positive for COVID

If both tests are not false positives UW in big trouble think that puts VandenBoom in for the next 3 weeks.
If we think IL loaded up to stop the run against UW - it's not going to get any easier if we're down to #3 (or is it #4?).

It would be #4 if in fact VandenBoom is the QB.

I would think Groshek gets some reps as a wildcat back also. Bottom line worst case is 3 weeks. 2-1 would be a win

Depth also becomes a huge issue if those two are out 3 weeks means you only have VandenBoom and true freshman Daniel Wright backing him up.

and Groshek, who would get some packages put in for him

should have already gotten mertz' second test results. that's probably an indicator of bad news
It's an indication of nothing. UW said plainly yesterday they were not releasing any info positive or negative going forward on any player due to HIPPA. Remember the reports on Mertz and Wolf came from the media citing "sources"
