What the hell is going on out there ? Roster cut edition

CD- You know I share this opinion also. The unwritten rule of 8 years and complacency sets in. It was obvious last year when a completely mediocre RB, Crockett, got in a game and we all saw his enthusiasm because it was so much more than anyone else on the field was showing. The 'play not to lose' attitude forgot about making a play to Win IT!
TT will leave soon, IMO, and the new GM will make the change.

If I could have my wish right now? I'd bring Gruden in to light a fire. I like most of the staff right now, especially our new WR coach and our DBs coaches.
Gruden is enjoying doing work at ESPN and getting a huge paycheck from them. I doubt he has any interest in going back to coaching.

Sure, but since there isn't a name we can put forward that has a prayer, let 'em dream. :)

Now imagine you are David Bakhtiari. Do you give TT his hometown discount on the contract he's trying to renegotiate with you considering you probably get the same treatment as Sitton at the end of that contract? Or do you go out and test the market to ensure as big a payout as you can get?

If the players know the real reason Sitton was let go which I think they do, I don't think it has as much of an impact on the signing of a new contract. They may be surprised and disappointed he was cut but I think they know why and can't talk about it.

Gruden wore out his welcome fast in Tampa. Most players could not stand him

Fans now calling for a change in GM + HC, did you feel this way before Sitton was released? Before the final cuts a lot of folks were super excited about the upcoming season and now it appears after cutting our starting LG the arrow is pointing down... sh))

I'm mixed on McCarthy. As to Thompson yes would like to see a change and have felt that way for awhile now.

Does the term "the straw that broke the camel's back" mean anything? :)

Sure assuming Sitton had nothing to do with his release. I still don't think Sitton is without fault. It just doesn't fit MM or TT's MO to cut a guy like that without any compensation. There has to be more to the story.

Again your "theory" is based on a third party report just as the one I am throwing out there. Look at these >>

You can sum up reaction inside #Packers locker room to Josh Sitton's release in one word: disbelief. LT David Bakhtiari: "I had no idea."

Mike Daniels on #Packers practices vs. Sitton: "He made me better. Every other guard in comparison is like, ‘Oh, yeah, well he ain’t Josh.’"

Last time #Packers locker room had a mood like today, and it didn't follow a playoff loss, was after WR Jordy Nelson tore his ACL.[/bcolor]

Sorry the "altercation" thing holds no water based just on the reactions above. If that had been the case everyone in that locker room would have known it... they don't/didn't. Something smells and I don't think we will ever really know.

No doubt. However, given what we've been handed to work with, all we can do is speculate or shut up - and the latter isn't happening on a sports forum. :)
