Rodgers Wants Out

One thing that people overlook is that Rodgers is a calculating smart dude and Dunn is maybe the best in the business pulling strings. To say that all parties involved don’t have a sense on what the trade value / options are, well I think that naive. This is not as complicated as you think

I dont doubt Arod and Dunn know exactly what they are doing. I just don't think Murphy and Gutey have a clue.

The only problem with that is that everyone knows this is not a deep roster and has questionable talent, and GB has been awful at home in the playoffs. Great for pumping the stats reg season. But not so much for playoffs.
This is about business as much as wins and losses. You rework Rodgers again big cash flow hit, same with Alexander. Russ Ball might have more influence on this than we might think

He could “walk” in two ways.
1) He retires
2) He vetoes trade offers, if it’s not where he wants to go, and forces them to release him because they can’t keep his contract on the books without gutting the team. And then he shops himself to the team(s) he preferred.

Either way, Gute/MM are left holding their ****** in their hands.
He only walks next year. That's when he has his "out." Team might be dumb, but they're not THAT dumb.

And that's why the need to get something for him now.

I think they have been part of conversations. How deep who knows. Gute knows some parameters of the trade market. He’s not that out of touch

Incorrect. His contract runs thru 2023 and they own his contractual rights 2023 does not void till 7 days before league year.

GB wont' release him that won't ever happen GB would keep him in 2022.

I still think it's likely GB is doing all this to say we tried to keep Aaron but he wanted out so we agreed to trade him.
