Rodgers Wants Out

Rodgers' monster season probably made Rodgers think that they'd come to him about keeping him around longer, but they didn't. Now things go sideways. If you had your football opinion 3 months ago, what happened to change it now? Besides Rodgers starting to throw a fit. But if you moved off your position because of THAT, then that's pretty weak.

Like I said, I go back and forth on this, but I think I would stick to the plan the best I could: trade Rodgers for the best deal possible, get a stopgap vet QB, maybe someone from the SF or LAR universe, and (here's the hard part) suck it up and keep Love on the bench another year. The teams's eval is the Love isn't ready, stand by it.

Agree with everything except the QB thing. Is he ready? Probably not but if you have no OTA’s and possibly a limited camp one more year is not going to tell you much. At this point start the kid and evaluation is on the fly. Trust your staff to put him in the best position to win or succeed

You still need some kind of vet QB though on roster I would think. Perhaps talk to Alex Smith see if he would want to not retire?

Now here is a statement that I strongly believe in. We get (publically) bits and pieces and a sports reporters' ideas. Who knows someone who spoke to someone and tries to bring the whole story in focus. They get paid for that. However most that is going on is behind closed doors and mostly on phones in front offices. IMO there is probably more to what's going on they we do not know yet. We will know more when they or if they pull the trigger.
Right now, ARod is A GBP. I really don't care what the outcome is until an actual move is made. Only thing we know is ARod is upset and used a ranting act to push the situation. What is going on behind closed doors right now is not being let out. If it were, then this FO would be a first class foolish organization.
Nough-said.

Smith is done playing football. That ship has sailed. Don’t know who would fit

Dunn has confirmed the Kumerow spat, The organization has made a public statement that there are issues they are trying to resolve and Tirico quoted Rodgers direct. None of that is reporters speculation
 
Alex Smith had and interview and said he had no thoughts of coming back. I don't blame him a bit after the hit he took.
