Rodgers Wants Out

You said tag/trade earlier. I’d be down with that
I see if Adams does leave no way they just let him walk and take a 3rd round comp pick in 2023 no you tag Adams because you can get more then that in a trade if forced to part with him.

Agree Aaron is loving sitting back see GB getting blasted in the media saying what can they do to make Rodgers happy. The guy is probably more in love with himself then his bride to be.
Well the media is not one sided on this and clearly the public is not either. A true narcissistic person does not really care how he is perceived

In an appearance on ESPN Wisconsin radio's Wilde & Tausch, Brett Favre detailed his text conversion with Aaron Rodgers and made comparisons to his own departure from the Packers in 2008. “I think I know Aaron fairly well, and honestly I just don't see him coming back and just saying, 'All right, let's just bury the hatchet, whatever caused the rift, and I'm just going to come back and play because I love the guys, I love the Green Bay fans.” Favre said his gut tells him that Rodgers is done with Packers.

Amazing. Just 6 days since the start of this thread, and 57 pages! That’s 9.5 pages per day

So Trade for Rodgers 1st and 3rd and a player? I think that might be what we can expect with the player likely a QB being sent back to GB.

All that said it’s a mixed message to me. On one hand they Rodgers “we want Aaron to be our guy now and in the foreseeable future”. But at the same time if you believe reports they never offered an extension to what is that “foreseeable future”.
This is kind of the crux of it. Their football opinion seems to be that they didn't want him after the 2021 season. Rodgers' monster season probably made Rodgers think that they'd come to him about keeping him around longer, but they didn't. To their credit (IMO) at the time the team stuck to their timeline - they wanted to move money around but they didn't want to extend him or redo the whole thing to set the market. In a perfect world yeah, Rodgers is around one more year and they move to Love. Guess what? Rodgers isn't going to let that happen, he's going to make them choose now.

Now things go sideways. If you had your football opinion 3 months ago, what happened to change it now? Besides Rodgers starting to throw a fit. But if you moved off your position because of THAT, then that's pretty weak.

Like I said, I go back and forth on this, but I think I would stick to the plan the best I could: trade Rodgers for the best deal possible, get a stopgap vet QB, maybe someone from the SF or LAR universe, and (here's the hard part) suck it up and keep Love on the bench another year. The teams's eval is the Love isn't ready, stand by it.

If you’re asking fir a player as part of conversation, I’d ask for a DT or an ILB.
