Rodgers Wants Out

“I just sent Aaron a message and said, ‘Hey, am I going to see you playing for the Saints this year?’ just kind of joking,” Favre said. “He sent back, ‘Hey, buddy, I don’t believe that’s going to happen.’ Also in that text, I said, ‘Hope everything’s OK. I’m getting a lot of messages from people asking me what’s the deal.’ He said, ‘Thanks for checking on me. I’ll touch back with you after all this is over.’ And that was it. We haven’t talked since.”

So since the Packers can't afford to take a big salary back for a QB in return and the QB FA pool is awful. Would it make sense to offer Jacksonville a 5th or a 6th for Garnder Minshew? He's cheap and probably better then what is out there as a FA.

Then screw Rodgers. If he wants to keep crappy talent on the roster just because they are his friends instead of best talent get the cancer off the team and let him go put that poision on another team.

I think it is more than them cutting a player. It's that they made AR look like he had egg on his face, after the interview he gave where he was praising Kumerow. Don't underestimate what they did to AR. In his mind, that was an egregious piece of disrespect. He felt he looked like a fool.

Not Kumerow... the Thursday night leak on the whole story came from within his circle..she was complaining they could keep his engagement under wraps but not his dispute with management, apparently there was only a small circle that knew those details.
Hence, my comments on the AJ Hawk comments.

ummm okay... completely my opinion but I think it goes deeper than that and it's been building for years not months.

Can't worry about this stuff. Vets will always stick together, same thing when they moved on from Favre. FO gets paid the big bucks for this. Remember, even if they did everything perfectly with Rodgers, they would still be tasked with moving on from him in some form or another, which was always going to look bad. Make a decision and move forward with conviction, even if it blows up at least you go down doing it your way. Hell, by going public with this petty crap, Rodgers has made himself look bad too. It's not like the FO cut him after he won the MVP and said how excited he was to be back for another run.

Maybe he should not went out on a limb for a guy who was a back end of the roster player with no guarantee he was making the roster.

I agree. Not saying that was the sole reason for this situation, rather, one of many that may have sent him over the edge. In his mind.
