Rodgers Wants Out

Yes and no, remember your GM just said they stole from Peter to pay Paul and that means major changes will need to happen in the future AKA we can't afford to keep everyone. That won't go over well with every player and they are well aware of who drove that bus...winning might help but it's still a business
One guy I wonder do they keep is Z Smith. Either need to give him a new contract or trade him as I can't see GB being able to keep him with his high 2022 cap number. With record amounts for edge rushers it won't be a cheap contract. Plus you have Alexander who is in line to become the highest paid CB in the NFL.

I see things much differently. I see 2023 has been wiped out, 2021 he's playing, and 2022 has a mutual option. Either side can pull the pin but Rodgers is in the driver's seat due to the guaranteed money. He could play here in 2022 as well, or even beyond if an extension is reached(although I doubt it, unless they win it all).

As for Cobb, PFT is reporting that the Pack and Texans are (or were) haggling over portions of Cobb's guaranteed salary. "If Houston pays it, Houston caps it" so that's excellent news although I'm still meh on the whole Cobb thing. Maybe (hopefully) he'll prove me wrong and light it up.

I see it as Rodgers plays this year with everyone knowing he's to be traded at the end of the year (unless they win it all) and then we move on to Love. There will be plenty of suitors in the trade market. I'm quite confident they'll get a LOT.

He does not have the cards to play like Rodgers did.
Disagree he can say I can get money elsewhere I don't have to stay in a team going through a rebuild. Plus team has just shown they will fold and cave to players.

I think even they win a SB there is no way Rodgers stays. It would be like see I can still win titles but I am not staying here trade me.

They caved because Rodgers played the retirement nuclear option possibility. Let’s not confuse the fact that they are equal on the food chain since they are not. The CBA favors the team in this one

The problem is Rodgers controls the destination for 2022 not the organization. It’s essentially free agency for him

Still Adams has power if I were him I would not play under tag either I hold out until late into TC next season if Packers don't either pay me or trade me.

Fine hold out. That’s not much leverage. History shows us a tag reduces leverage

Just think he has more leverage then you think he has. I think he gets traded if he does not resign Plus why keep him under one year of the tag when you are not going to be good makes zero sense.
