Was he stoned when he said this? What’s any of this got to do with the price of tea?

I know the feeling....Rodgers appears to be a self absorbed prick.
Can't disagree with your opinionLong view this interview made it easier for GB to trade him because if it did one thing it seems to have turned the fan base against him. So the FO won't get blowback when they move him.
Arod is showing classic signs of being an abuser in an abusive relationship. Behind the scenes he's being vindictive and petty but in public he tries to be all mature and introspective.
He mentioned Holmgren, for whom he never played, and Reggie White, who was dead before Rodgers was drafted, but couldn't name drop Ted Thompson, who drafted him, moved on from Favre and built a SB team around him? Talk about calculated...He's pulling at the fanbase heartstrings. Trying to be a historian and protector of the might Packers legacy. He is positioning himself as the last bastion of hope of returning GB to it's glory years. He's calculated in what he says.
Exactly! Like I said, he is calculated in what he says. Again, read that original quote of a teammate. That should heighten anyone's awareness:He mentioned Holmgren, for whom he never played, and Reggie White, who was dead before Rodgers was drafted, but couldn't name drop Ted Thompson, who drafted him, moved on from Favre and built a SB team around him? Talk about calculated...
He's also trying to associate himself with the GB legends. The ones most people associate with when they think of the GB brand. I'm not saying that's right or wrong but the dude knows what he's saying and that wordcraft is important. He mentioned Holmgren, for whom he never played, and Reggie White, who was dead before Rodgers was drafted, but couldn't name drop Ted Thompson, who drafted him, moved on from Favre and built a SB team around him? Talk about calculated...
We were never getting the 3rd or 9th pick in the draft. No that was never happening for multiple reasons. This is simply a guy who wants to go out on his terms, probably thought Nelson had the same “right” and maybe even Favre.Rodgers appears to be a self absorbed prick.
But our front office are dumbasses.
He'll even MN talked to Cousins about their intent to draft a QB. I think Rodgers believes he's earned the situation of being consulted.
I'm not wearing kneepads for Rodgers but:
1) I still think his big beef is the front office puts more effort into building for down the road rather than winning now,
2) I agree with Jimmy Johnson, you treat everybody equally, just some more equal.
I think Rodgers must be traded. He should have been traded on draft night when we could have gotten the 3rd or 9th Pick as a start. We're going to get less in regards to football players who could help us win championships. Victory favors the bold, we were timid.
I've had to stroke people for years that I wanted in my life. Simply regarding football, I would want Rodgers on my team. Our front office pulled that Bulls front office crap when it didn't have to. They better be right - the Bulls were not.
