Post Game Lions Defeat GB 34-31

Stokes on a pivotal play against the Lions #4 receiver. The football people can correct me but it looks like he’s in man coverage, trying to press. This was supposed to be the thing he could do. If he can’t do this against a #4 receiver in a close game then I don’t know what else to say. It’s over.

First off my buddy Andy isn't showing me the wide angle so no idea what the whole call was.... possible 25 is supposed to drop there and play back but he blitzed. GB doesn't play press they play a man up tech... either way he bit on that move and got burned.

GB doesn’t have a #1 WR but I think that’s by design? Since ML system doesn’t require a true #1?

I think the issue is GB has a bunch of young WR who just don’t have high ceilings. GB doesn’t need a true Adams type, but the WR have to be better overall and Kraft needs to be more involved consistently.

I thought that hey we have 3-4 guys who can be a number 2 or 3 WR we dont' need a number one. Now these guys are not even looking like number 2 or 3 WR's we are needing a true number 1 WR I think.

Your overthinking it, they get lazy and run sloppy routes. They also tend to think about YAC before catching the ball. Go look at that ugly long ball Watson got last night...all body no hands. Lots of issues.

GB lacks true hands...I need a 3rd down conversion WR. He doesn't need to be a 1 just needs to catch everything thrown his way.

That would've been Deandre Hopkins this year

that sounds a lot like tucker kraft. he catches just about everything thrown his way (most of the time). i thought it was crazy that he was virtually ignored for most of the game.
Reed only saw once pass last night. But is that game plan or because our OL was so bad that Love never had a chance to go thru his reads to throw to others.

With all due respect thats a TE..... you're not wrong but we are talking strictly WR here. Tucker was needed as a wham blocker last night and took out some of his pass-catching opportunities.

Hafley's scheme is fine but the playmakers and player fit on the defense are just not there. Gute will need to nail defensive draft picks and a few FAs to get the players that fit the scheme. P. Smith was traded away because he was a poor fit. There are multiple players now that are not good scheme fits, mainly on DL and LB. The CB room has to be re-tooled.

LaFleur seems to be struggling to find the offense's identity. I know he wants to run a lot and Jacobs is a stud, but Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft getting so few touches or targets is criminal. Really surprised the O-line got manhandled at times by backups/scrubs. The Lions blitzes and pressure packages seemed be troublesome. Love had to move around a lot to make or attempt throws. I am actually impressed with the overall team effort and play given the Packers have played 3 games in just 10 days.

I think issue with Kraft is that our OL is so poor that Kraft has to stay in and block more then ML would like him too.
