Post Game: Green Bay Over Detroit 31-24

I'm never going to get over-excited for MVS to be a "consistent" contributor to this team.
This is only the 4th game this season that he has made any kind of meaningful contribution to the team.

Week 1 (vs MN): 4/6; 96 yds; 1 TD
Week 9 (vs 49er's): 2/4; 53 yds; 2 TD's
Week 10 (vs Jag's): 4/6; 149 yds; 1 TD
Week 14 (vs DET): 6/6; 85 yds; 1 TD

All the other weeks he is a combined: 13/37; 220 yds; 0 TD's.

He is what he is..........fast, and as random as a hiccup.

They need to draft next year to (at least) find a player to replace MVS, and give competition to Lazard to be a true WR2 for this team.

I like Lazard, but he may be better cast as a WR3.
 
The game was pretty much what I figured. The Packers are a 30+ scoring team. The trick is to hold the opposition under 30. Do it and we can usually win. I don't expect anything beyond that.

Despite what anyone might want to believe, this team relies on Rodgers to make plays that put points on the board. Without him and his play, we're not even close to an 8 win team.
 
While I get WR is a need, not sure it’s #1 anymore. Other than Alexander we don’t have a CB who we can trust in man coverage, ILB? Yeah major need. If 12 is right this team still can move the ball but talent on defense except for a few guys is way below par
 
The Good

Rodgers- He continues to carry this team and is playing close to the best if not the best of his career.
Adams- That first TD was sweeet. He continues to dominate.
Tonyan- Great TD and great 1st down at the end of the game. Clutch.
MVS- He needs to be more consistent but he gives full effort. Happy for the kid.
Crosby- That 58 yarder was ridiculous. Nerves of steel. And he showed Scott how to tackle. :)

The Bad

Special Teams- They are getting worse.
St Brown- He played patty cake with his guy on the big run back on ST's
Defense- They suck
King- He sucks
Kirskey- He sucks too

The ST's need to be fixed soon. That will make us lose in the playoffs.

We are 10-3 and have won the NFC North again. Enjoying this but just hope somehow this D and ST's can improve before the playoffs.
 
Stafford had all day to sit back in the pocket and let his guys get open. I can't see this team getting far in the playoffs when a good team with a good QB will be able to get the same time and just destroy this defense evey more.

I don't think the issue is more with our DB's then it is with our DL and LB's. You can't expect the CB's and Safeties to cover all day when the QB has no pressure on him and can sit back and wait for guys to get open.

There is 1 guy you can trust in press coverage, Alexander. And if you want to blitz only one guy is consistent in man coverage, guess what? Same guy
