Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

The shame is that Malik Willis is basically in the perfect spot for his talent level and should be trying to lock down this long term back up spot in GB but because of the economics of QBs and the scarcity, he’s going to be gone.

Not sure I think GB wants to a 4-5 million a year offer he will stay in GB. He's not a high end backup won't get the 8-10 million a year but still a decent mid level backup.

High-end low-end, he’s shown he can operate in this system and do what ML wants. 3-0 while Love was down. What else do you want? You have your starter, a capable vet back up and then draft your developmental guys where you can.

since you asked they tailored the O to make him work... in reality, you want the opposite. You guys don't help when you justify Gutes poor choices.

sb( i know i'm in the minority, but i sincerely believe that willis is better than several starting qbs in the nfl, and he got a raw deal with the hapless titans. there aren't a lot of qbs that could come in to a new organization as a backup, running the scout team for a few weeks, and then with one week's notice come in as the starter and win three games in a row. of the current nfl qbs, the only one i can remember doing something similar was brock purdy - who parlayed that into a full-time starting role. hide)

It was amazing that Willis led the Pack to 2 victories. But, who'd he beat - the Colts and Titans, and what did he do? Got the W. But, in those games the Offensive Line shut up Keg Man, was a force, and opened super highways up for our backs (where did they go after?).

When he came in against the Bears he didn't do that much.

He really is right where he probably belongs. A good 2d stringer. He should probably get a couple million per year.

If somebody offers him big money and a chance to start, he should take it. But, we shouldn't offer him anything more than back up money and definitely should not overpay to keep him.
