Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

Sucks for Jaire and the Pack. I believe he's hurt, wants to go, but can't go - especially at the level required.

Fingers crossed by being patient he can actually play at his top level in the playoffs - not just get out there.

But, if he can't go. I hope all do what's necessary so he can play next year.

When he injured it against Jax I thought it was season ending. Non contact injury, looked like an ACL or achilles. Then they said it wasn’t that, he was practicing etc. so I had hope. Then they said PCL, no walk in the park. Alright that’s different. Could just be it isn’t responding right, or worse than they thought. Just seems destined for an injury settlement and release at this point. I don’t think he plays again for GB.

I think they will keep Alexander next year. Depth at CB is awful and GB only gets $6 million in cap space to cut him. GB only gains decent cap space to cut him in 2026 the last year of his contract.

Jaire has missed a lot of games as a Packer, from back, knee and shoulder injuries. Is he worth keeping ?

That’s certainly the argument in favor of keeping him, but he seems to be a complicated fella, and with complicated fellas the juice needs to be worth the squeeze otherwise you cut bait. I always liked him personally and still do, but I don’t know what his place is in that room, if he’s a net drain or gain. I dont know, none of us do. When it’s all quiet like this, one starts to wonder.

if he's a problem child, a $6m gain in salary cap for cutting him is not bad.

So off-season if you are Gute some team says we will give you 3rd or 4th rounder for Willis do you do it or do you keep him as insurance and if you lose him in FA after 2025 just take the comp pick?
