Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

When he injured it against Jax I thought it was season ending. Non contact injury, looked like an ACL or achilles. Then they said it wasn’t that, he was practicing etc. so I had hope. Then they said PCL, no walk in the park. Alright that’s different. Could just be it isn’t responding right, or worse than they thought. Just seems destined for an injury settlement and release at this point. I don’t think he plays again for GB.

This is like the Bahk injury all over again.

PCL injuries are the equivalent of ACL injuries...they just are. You mostly hear about ACL tears and we all know what an ACL does for the knee structure. The PCL is its equivalent. This injury is no walk in the park.

Thanks Bud, appreciate the perspective. I don’t have a ton of context for them, like I said not surprised he hasn’t played since the Bears game and very surprised he even tried to play that game.

They are just very tricky because like the ACL, you'll do a quick anterior drawer test to get a feel for it or severity. Same for the PCL, posterior drawer. The kicker is that most of the time the ACL is torn and shows up on MRI or CT but if the PCL isn't torn, that laxity, and stability, is what you are gauging the severity. I have a sneaky suspicion that the injury may be more than was initially thought. Sometimes multiple MRIs are needed. We may not know unless Jaire divulged it.

Then why haven't we put him on IR, bud? Seems silly to keep this going.
