Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

At WR it’s less about drafting guys high and more about drafting guys who can catch the damn ball. Also need more solid route runners. You don’t need a first rounder to find guys like that. But you do need your scouting dept to be competent.

Cheese, that's where we disagree. There are not many WR's that become a consistent solid WR who are picked in the 3rd round or later. (Driver is a huge exception) High drafted WR's usually have the combination of speed, size, hands, and route running ability. I understand you can still miss in higher rounds but the chances are way higher you will get a game changer or consistent guy.

I am trying to think of a Packer WR besides Driver that was picked in the 3rd or later that has really been a good WR.

If our wide receivers just caught the ball at professional standards we wouldn't be having this discussion, and I'll bet we'd have 1-2 more wins.

The situation where the drops occur is more troublesome than the drops. I believe there are a lot of 3d down drops that would have kept drives going that may have changed games.

In the 2022 season with the Washington Huskies he made 41 tackles, 11 being for a loss, eight and a half sacks, a pass deflection, and two forced fumbles. His efforts would pay off as he finished the year as a first team All-Pac-12.

Looks like this year is just going to be an injury wash for Morgan. Hurt his shoulder in camp and never recovered.

Team also to blame they put him out there likely before he was ready and hurt the shoulder bad enough needed surgery on it.

Has he had surgery on it? Probably will have to, if he hasn’t already.

These guys SMH thinking people are old. Though the few that said the 1970s I can get behind that LOL but people saying people born in 90s and before are old. SMH you born after the year 2000 you still wet behind the ears!

I'm lovin' Bo Melton.

Should Packers kick the tires on Odell Beckham? Cut by Miami would he be worth a look for a playoff push to see if he would be more sure handed as a 3/4 WR over guy like Wicks who is dropping passes at a high rate this year?
