Packers 2023-24 Season Thread

I think Watson has mental issues right now. Coming back from injury, seems timid. Maybe scared to reinjure?

He isn't showing any fire to go fight for balls, just sits and waits for them even with a DB there.

Either way need to stop trying to feed him and look at Reed and Wicks as 1/2

I think we just need to throw the ball to whomever is open. Rams game Love spread ball all around

So looking at vet WR's who might be on that 2nd level of FA who could be good but won't break the bank on signing.

Tyler Boyd
Calvin Ridley
Donvan People-Jones
Marquise Brown
Curtis Samuel

Maybe one of these guys could be the vet WR to help be a guy like Love. While GB can't afford no true #1 star as I think they won't have the cap space to splurge on that this year one of these guys might be the next best option.

To resolve the WR issue, put someone out there, other than Watson, at #1. Then increase the targets for Doubs. Watson's problem isn't a lack of talent, it's a lack of aggressiveness, and that's something that he can only develop is if he decides it's what he wants. At this point, I think it's all up to him. He can either sink down on the depth chart, or fight to get back to the top. But, this time, make him earn it, instead of handing it to him on a silver platter.

I agree. They have to do something and maybe giving those other guys some chances, will tell us something about all of them. At 3-6, you don't necessarily have to throw the baby out with the bath water but in reality, I'm not sure this is a playoff caliber team and there's no need to keep sticking to the plan. I know, maybe that's what they need. Maybe they need to stick to the plan and let these guys come into their own, but imo, shake it up bit now and see if Doubs, Reed or Wicks can step up while Watson plays the #2 or #3 role. No matter what, I still think this WR corps can be good, but could also use a veteran and an upgrade for the #1 slot.
