Packers 2022 Thread

We talked a lot about the injury when it happened and either an aggressive or conservative approach about getting it fixed. We will see if the approach worked and keeps him off the training table. I'm hesitant and worry that it could become chronic. Yes, he's a cover corner but it may stick in the back of his mind when he's thinking about sticking a tackle.
And if he becomes a “limited player” in run support, then he’s not a complete package and not worth top dollar

So Amos is going to be 30 year old by the start of the 2023 season. Would you give him another contract or just say thanks but look for a cheaper younger safety?

Ask me after the season and see what the the production

Yup, plus what kind of contract is he looking for. If it's a break the bank deal it probably won't fit and you shake his hand and say thanks, but we're out. Hopefully he gets a great contract somewhere else and you get a Rd 3 comp pick.

The other thing in play is what the CAP situation looks like - how much does it go up, and what CAP saving moves have been made.

I don't think he would get a big deal to get a 3rd round comp maybe a 4th or 5th but this likely being his last deal if he has good year he will want a good contract and not a home town deal to stay
