Packers 2022 Thread

The perception that Davante is in his prime is because his production has generally been on an upward trajectory since his rookie year including arguably his best season last year. Watkins has sort of been on a downward trend since his first few years. I think Watkins' body keeps breaking down as the season goes along. Adams gets nicked up as well, but he seems to hold up better. That said, both their "primes" are likely behind them.

I saw Michael Irvin say he thinks Hill and Adams made mistakes wanting to leave KC and GB. He said while they got paid they should have staid with original teams because while they might have not made as much they would have played with better QB and better stats now on worse teams with QBs that are step down that if they don't have the stats they could be looking at getting cut after 2-3 years if they don't have big numbers and with big salaries could be victim to cap cuts.

I want to see full contract details before I even decide if he's likely to be on the final 53. On the surface seems like an insurance signing but want to see what he's been guaranteed.
well his last two one-year prove-it deals have been fully guaranteed. but, it isn't clear yet since the language i've read in the press release says "up to $4 million".

That could mean a lot of things. Two failed prove it deals mean he hasn’t really proven anything, there could be an awful lot of incentives tied up in this which could all be made moot of the draft falls in a certain way.

#Packers ILB De'Vondre Campbell said he made it known to the #Packers last year he was a "Mike" LB and he didn't want to be used all over the place like in previous stops. They agreed and signed him and it paid off. He said he knew if he could play one spot he would flourish.
