Official Week 5 Green Bay vs LA Rams Thread

Doubs has been placed on the reserve/suspended list for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. The Packers signed Robert Rochell to the 53-man with Alexander and Valentine questionable and an open spot. They also elevated FB Andrew Beck. TE Luke Musgrave is questionable.

So seems like Doubs had a temper tantrum threw a fit and they sat him down talked it out and he losses a game check and hopefully he he can admit he dealed with it wrong and both sides move on and this is in the past.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst on Romeo Doubs’ one-game suspension: “Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game. His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward in a positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member of our team and we look forward to welcoming him back next week.”

Hopefully this will not be a distraction for the Packers this week or going forward. You know there will be teams calling GB asking if Doubs can be traded. I think Doubs is back next week. He might not be happy right now but he won't be stupid and give up another game check. GB also won't give him away in a trade. If the relationship is broken move on from him in the off-season trade him for a pick after the year or use him to move up in the draft.

Even bigger for Doubs LA is his hometown so he likely was going to have a lot of family and friends at the game and now he won't play that even has to be more humbling for him now.

The Packers statement pretty much says it’s an attitude issue. Who is his agent? This smells of a kid getting bad advice from a family member who is stroking his ego and telling him he’s better than he really is.

But to pull this stunt Week 5? Wowzers.

GB wil give him a fair chance to recover from this. But he isn’t so good that they can’t replace him with FA…

Yeah I don’t see how you can go back from that no matter how you word it. This whole thing is messed up, have to be careful it doesn't mess up the locker room.
