Official Week 14 Green Bay vs Carolina Thread

This game shouldn't be close. Should be a 35-10 type blowout.

The bye will be important. Homefield this year really isn't a huge advantage.

"Should" being the key word.

if you look at the stats, the packers have more net points in their home games. even without fans in the stands. but this could just be a factor of the teams they have played at home.

Drew Lock lit them up last week.
(280 yds/4TD’s/O INT’s).
Let’s hope Rodgers finds that kind of success this week

This game shouldn't be close, the fire up cheer for the Pack to play listless and without effort until it's too late.

Then we'll be told there's nothing to worry about [because they'll be golfing in tropical locations mid june]

Just a couple of observations. Last season they seemed to struggle in the first 2 quarters or as memory serves they would score, but a lot of times they would have to come from behind or barely hang on to the lead.

This season the offense has obviously played much better but they have had some halves/quarters when they 'lost focus'.

I am by no means a football expert, but I couldn't understand some of LaFleur's playcalls. It seems obvious to me in some games the defense makes half time adjustments and the Packers don't. I don't know if the coaches think, "well it's been working so well, let's just keep doing it" or what. I was very surprised to see that Adams was dropping balls, couldn't get open or Aaron's passes were off. The OL which has been pretty good all season, must have gone home and they put some 3rd stringers in there, cuz talk about 'stinkers'. The last few games feel like a tale of two halves. I am not very optimistic if all phases can't get on the same page.

The ST seemed to play better and so did the defense. But it's frustrating that they can't seem to put a total game together.

I am not optimistic about the TN game.

I am glad we won. I am hoping that NO loses so we have a cushion but...

I don't know if this makes sense, but it appeared Rodgers was ticked off most of the night. It's almost like he was totally opposed to almost every play as to how people ran it, or that it was even called from the sidelines.

Rodgers always has that bitter look on his face unless things are going perfect for him.

Ben Simmons pointed out on twitter that the Packers had a "metric shit-ton" of RPOs dialed up last night, and that MLF said postgame that the looks from Carolina dictated checking out of the run called and into a pass.

I don't think AR agreed with that from what I hear.

I will say one thing, if AR is pissed that the gameplan didn't work, yet stuck to it... I'm actually not sure what to say. I'd say it means he has confidence in the system. Given the number of times he got hit, he should have stuck with the run perhaps.

When your WR run lazy ass routes and can’t get separation I really don’t blame him.

it was as if once they got up 21-3, everyone on offense got lazy. wr not running crisp routes, ol not putting much effort into blocking, etc. on the bright side, the defense didn't give up the lead and the special teams didn't have an epic fail.
