Official Week 14 Green Bay vs Carolina Thread

Thing is lets say GB wins these next 2 games and NOLA losses to KC. Does GB then sit guys out in the Chicago game and give them 2 weeks rest? I could see the Packers sitting big guys out like Rodgers, Adams, Bak, Z. Smith out vs Chicago. Also could be that Love would see his first action of the season like KC did few years back when they let Mahomes play the last game of the season when they had nothing to play for.

if (that's a big if) they are in the position to not lose the #1 seed in the final week, then yes i would rest some the guys that you absolutely have to count on in the playoffs. why take a chance on injury?

Right now, the number one objective for the Packers is a win against the Panthers. We've been burned in the past when the focus is on the game after the one on the clock. It isn't intentional on the part of players and coaches, but it does happen, because their focus is misdirected by accident.

Last week I called it 34-24 Packers. It ended up 31-24. Close, but no cigar. The reason I chose that score was because I believe that the Packers need to score at least 30 points to beat anyone, and that included the Lions. In this one, I see it as a tough game. The Panthers will be looking to steal one on prime time, to show they're relevant. They're going to play better than they are, and the question is whether or not the Packers will be able to overcome that level from them.

It's going to be close. I see the Packers winning it 38-31. It's going to an end of game nail-biter. The way our defense goes soft when they can ice a game scares the bejeebers out of me.

Absolutely, I wish they had the win or go home mentality but they don't
The Packers know they very well could have to win out to get homefield and they want that bye week. Plus I don't think they go twice into NOLA to win. I don't think NOLA plays as well in GB in Jan. when it's freezing out.

We'll see Saturday.

And, let's not kid ourselves. The Pack plays better when it's warm. I don't think the weather is as big an advantage as it used to be.

This is not the 60s Packers. I'm not cutting these guys down for play in the cold, but they practice indoors. It would be stupid not to. There's some acclimation due to living here, but still, when it's cold it's cold. Some tolerate it better than others.

they were outside today

packers are favored by 11. how many people believe they will cover the spread?

line must have moved since that article i read. still not sure they cover tho. they have a nasty habit of playing down to the level of their competition.
Vegas books opened around -8.5 to -9.0 so not sure where they got that info. I would be comfortable at -8.5 but not over that
