Official Week 10 Green Bay vs New York Giants Thread

Here is another issue no one talks about..... Doubs, Wicks, Watson,Golden, and Williams are limited all week; most of them didn't practice, but everyone bitchs, " What's wrong with the offense? " How the hell can any of your situational passing game and timed routes work when you didn't work on them all week?

Ditto we got guys not practicing on the OL all week and folks bitch about why they can't line up right. Duh !

I get it.

But, as far as lining up correctly. I'd hope professional athletes can understand where they have to line up from the Xs and Os board. And, know how many people can be in the backfield. Or, understand what it means if they are covering or not covering the last lineman correctly.

Now, some of the other stuff, I'll slack. But, the mental, by the 10th game should be instinctual or they're not getting properly coached up and not being held accountable.

Another we are going to play a injured player who probably should have been put on IR to heal up but as a medical and coaching staff we are not smart enough to do that. Seems we have had a lot of guys just waste roster spot being hurt for a number of weeks or come back to soon from a injury.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said DL Lukas Van Ness has practiced in “a very limited fashion” in his first on-field work since his early October foot injury, but he isn’t ruling LVN out. “If he feels like he can go, we’ll put him out there.”

Well, for instance, they had a backup OT lineup in a hurry because he didn't practice that during the week. This isn't HS/College, they are throwing a lot of formations and looks out there.

Hell, you know what? No Keg, doesn't matter, FB,BB, whatever sport, if you don't practice, you can't perform effectively. It's just not happening. It's a big issue and part not all of the problem.

Now if we had quality depth .....................

I know I'm disagreeing with you but not as much as you think.

I agree practice makes perfect. But, our guys consistently do dumb stuff. A lot of the mental mistakes are not New things; they're things that guys playing football long enough to make the NFL should know - like where the heck do I stand to start a play. Even subs are paid well: Rookie Min = $840K; 1 year = $960K; 2 year = $1M and change; Practice Squad min = $17,500 / week (almost $300K / year). They should know the plays and where their starting location is for that amount of money.

Now, performance, I agree with you.

But because of the frequency of the brain farts some of this appears to be a is a culture of non-accountability.

Hell, I'm frustrated. We both want the same thing.

And, we need this damn game! Go Pack Go! Find a way!
