Official Game 12 Green Bay vs Chicago Thread

The remainder of Randall Cobb's season is in jeopardy after the Packers' receiver underwent core muscle surgery last week, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. The Packers believe that Cobb will miss several games, per Demovsky, as Cobb underwent surgery last week with the hope that he would be back for the postseason.

Campbell practiced today.

@ByRyanWood: ILB De’Vondre Campbell has not yet been cleared from COVID-19/reserve list, but he is practicing. Campbell was eligible to return to the facility today if he was symptomatic. Looks like he should be good to play vs. Bears.

@RobDemovsky: First person Aaron Rodgers went to when he ran onto the practice field was GM Brian Gutekunst, and they shared an embrace.

It’s the first practice for Rodgers (toe) in three weeks.

LB De’Vondre Campbell back from COVID.

DNPs: Cobb, Bakhtiari, Love.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' toe injury is expected to last for the remainder of the season, per sources. One source told ESPN that doctors can't completely numb the fractured pinkie toe because Rodgers has to feel his foot to throw -- otherwise it drags and he can't feel it plant. If Rodgers had elected to undergo surgery during the season, the operation would have required a pin be placed in the toe -- and the three-time league MVP can't play with the pin. Rodgers therefore will delay his decision to have surgery until after the season, if it even is needed at that time.

So much for Rodgers claiming if he had surgery he would not have missed any time.

Packers can clinch playoff birth today but it's long shot they do. They need to win and have Bengals beat the 49ers and the Jets beat the Saints.

Akiem Hicks ruled OUT for the Bears, that 11.5 pt spread now looking reasonable. Dominating with the run game is now on the menu, hope GB takes care of business that way
