I agree too that at 29, there's nobody on the board when it's our turn, to take. Trading back is a good idea.

In fact, I think trading back is a good idea anyhow. There's going to be just as many guys who can fill needs available to us in the first few picks in round 2. Grab some extra pick power with that #1.

Thing this year is you are going to find a lot more late round gems because you won't be able to send scouts to see these guys play and some might have not played much or if at all in 2020 meaning you have to go by what the tape shows.

Your also going to see more reaches. The in person stuff helps but film don’t lie. Only thing it won’t get you is how much of leap some guys would have made. That’s why I think more reaches, more mistakes
 
Teven Jenkins could be in play if they go OT, but I would prefer Mayfield from Michigan (if he's still on the board at #29)

Sorry prefer neither of them at 29 and would consider that a reach imo.

OL in one of the positions where you can go 2 deep when drafting. In other words either early or later in draft and the top OTs will be off board by then.

We have more then one need. Makes more sense to take the top rated player on Gute's board that fills a need then to reach for need which usually snake bites this team. Baht is considered one of the top if not best OT in NFL and he wasn't a high pick. Neither was Tauscher or others, but we have a long list of high picks at OL that didn't pan out.

On the other hand if looking for a skill positions the odds more in your favor in the early rounds

You might be right T.
but if I recall the only two high picks at OL in the last 10 years was Sherrod (2011) in 1st round, and Spriggs (2016) in 2nd round.
They’ve invested A LOT more high end draft capital at CB over that same time and outside of Alexander they have nothing to show for it.
If they just avoid drafting OT’s who’s last name starts with “S” they’ll be just fine!! hope(
 
fwiw, draftek has the packers taking tevin jenkins in the third round in their latest mock.

Walters was just an example.
The Draft Network, Our Lads, Fantasy Pros, PFF, Draftwire, etc etc etc
A ton of sites, just pick the ones that you feel comfy with for info, but form your own informed conclusions thumbsup
