I think if he has a ring he goes to get some cash. He said he took less money to come to MKE he had offer from Knicks that paid more.
 
Saw this on Portis and I agree I think Portis can find more then $6 million a year in FA.

The Bucks don’t have any Bird rights and can only offer him a 20-percent raise on last year’s salary ($4.35 million), unless they use their $6 million taxpayer midlevel exception to retain him. And most likely, even that won’t be enough.

Your way overvaluing him. Mid level exception around $7m is his ceiling

Still would be foolish of him to opt in when he can make a lot more in FA same with Forbes why opt in at $2.4 million when you can get bigger money to be made? You got a ring and only have X number of years to get your money.

Ok it’s simple. He not more than a 10-15 per minute player in the league. He’s a below average defender, not a great post player and gives you some range as a stretch 3-4 type
