Bucks vs Hawks Eastern Conference Finals Thread

That was how many years ago? And yeah Alvin Adams was a forgotten pick
1969? I think that's right. I think it was that winter when I was going to games that I could see a championship coming. Alcindor was so much more than the guys that he played against. It's almost like he played without effort. He just plain dominated. When Oscar came over, it was OMG! Jonny Mac was hitting his jumpers, Smith, Boozer, Dandridge! That was one helluva team. Won the finals 4-0.

If Bucks and Suns make the finals will be interesting as the key between them was the coin flip draft if Suns win that coin flip perhaps its the Suns that win
And the forgotten story is the NY Nets now the Brooklyn Nets drafted Alcindor in the ABA Draft

Yes, they did. I'd forgotten that. It was a bidding war, but Lew wanted to play in the NBA and the money was there.

Read article saying Kareem wishes Suns won the toss better weather and closer to his friends. He never liked MKE and really I don't think likes it much to this day.

I think he speaks from the heart. Phoenix does have better weather and he would have been closer to his friends.

I don't think he disliked Milwaukee and Wisconsin, but I think he preferred other places.

I love WI. But, I really love San Diego: No mosquitoes, no biting flies, no no see ums, very little rain, shorts and flip Flops every day

He’s spoken highly of Milwaukee over the years. It’s was a cultural thing in the past.

Yes. You can like more than one place. I feel the same way. I love Wisconsin summers, but after that? I want outta there. I don't like cold weather.

I do like Texas. It's not a pretty state. In fact, it's kind of ratty looking in a lot of ways. Yet, there's something about it that I like.

One of the things I like most is the melting pot of food and culture in the Austin area. It's unique, and it's fun.

Not sure he did not think the Bucks would beat the Nets and as one of a former players would you at least not try to be a supporter and say yeah they will win? I know when he left he did not like the city because at the time it did not fit his lifestyle and wanted somewere that would.

he’s was speaking a sound bite about Durant. He was being candid.

I have a love hate relationship with Wisconsin. I grew up in Mequon so basically Milwaukee is “home”. I miss Summerfest, I miss Friday Fish feasts, I miss Wisconsin sports fans energy. Other than that no. Hate the cold , hate snow , hate ice,
