Bucks vs Hawks Eastern Conference Finals Thread

Heard on radio today the Bucks outside district could have just as many fans if not more then inside the arena for games.

Though speaking of 1st class. Read an article it was not until Giannis signed his rookie ext worth 100 million that his brother finally convicned Giannis to spend the extra money and fly 1st class as he did not want to spend the extra and would fly coach.

They draw a lot of people to their street party, no doubt about it.

25K people is crazy wonder how many cops they need to patrol the area to keep it safe.

In a very interesting twist, the current NBA franchise in Milwaukee (The Bucks) will be taking on the original NBA franchise in Milwaukee (The Hawks) in the 2021 Eastern Conference Final. The now Atlanta Hawks played in Milwaukee from 1951 through 1955. The team moved to St. Louis, where the franchise won it's only NBA championship in 1958, behind the great play of Bob Pettit, who was selected by the Hawks in the 1st round of the 1954 NBA draft while the team was still in Milwaukee. The Bucks have also won just one NBA title, and that was in 1971, behind the great play of Lew Alcindor (now Kareem Abdul-Jabbar), Oscar Robertson, Bobby Dandridge, Jon McGlocklin, Greg Smith and company. Speaking of that championship team, I once again want to promote a great book called, From Coin Toss to Championship by Rick Schabowski. The book covers the coin toss between the Bucks and the Phoenix Suns for the right to draft Alcindor, who was obviously the big prize in the 1969 NBA draft after leading UCLA to three straight NCAA titles under legendary coach John Wooden. The Bucks won that coin toss, but then they had to compete with the ABA's New York Nets (now Brooklyn Nets) to try and sign Alcindor. The Bucks closed the deal and then were able to acquire Oscar Robertson a year later, when they also had to compete with several NBA and ABA teams to get the services of "The Big O", as Robertson had a clause in his contract with the Cincinnati Royals that he had to approve a trade before it could be consummated. Rick covers all of that and much more, as he recreated the great 1970-71 season and postseason when the Bucks won the NBA title. The guy I pattered my jump shot after, Jonny Mac, said this about the book, "I enjoyed going back in time while reading this book. It brought back good memories of a great season leading up to the NBA championship. I was blessed to experience such a great season with a great team!" You can go to Amazon to order this book in either Kindle or Paperback. It's really an apropos read, as this current Bucks team behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kris Middleton, Jrue Holiday and company try to bring home a second NBA title to Milwaukee this year.
Fear the Deer!

If Bucks and Suns make the finals will be interesting as the key between them was the coin flip draft if Suns win that coin flip perhaps its the Suns that win a title.

That was how many years ago? And yeah Alvin Adams was a forgotten pick
