I found it interesting that of the top 50 free agents this year, the only ones who would fit into the Bucks style of play are actually the Bucks own free agents. Not one of the others out there are considered fits - according to this report. Top 50 Free Agents

I find it hard to believe that some of the names on that list wouldn't be at least somewhat of a fit.

It’s because Milwaukee has zero cap flexibility, it’s not style of play they just can’t fit any one in now

That was not specified with the article. I do agree that they don't have the cap room. Then again, would the Bucks ownership be willing to shell out the luxury tax money to make something happen.

They can’t sign anyone but a mid level exception. That’s the CBA rules, can only exceed cap signing your own. Now one possible option is a sign and trade with Brogdon but that’s a long shot at best

Malcom Brogdon will be a sign and trade with the Pacers. Brogdon gets 4 years $85 million. Pacers will send MKE a future 1st and 2 future second rounders.

Bucks, by signing-and-trading Malcom Brodgon to the Pacers for 4$/85M (and assuming a starting salary of $20M), will at least pick up a $10M trade exception, even though they’ll also use cap room this summer, if they time everything correctly.

See a lot of people not liking Middleton deal BUT I think it was done more to keep Giannis happy then the Bucks liking Middleton that much. If re-signing Middleton keeps Giannis happy and that he will sign his supermax deal next summer you do the Middleton deal.

So Bucks dont get trade Exemption in Brogdon trade because had to renounce it in Hill deal?

Bucks sign Brook Lopez twin brother Robin Lopez to 2 year deal. 2nd year is player option. Bucks use full room exception of $4.8 million to sign him.
