You've got a good defensive core on team friendly or rookie deals, you have your offensive playmakers on rookie deals, now is exactly the time to add the 38 year old QB with a couple good years left. Murphy can't act half-pregnant with Rodgers here, you need to have a plan and also act like you have a plan.
Though to be honest unless Seattle trades Wilson in the off-season I can't see another team wanting him. I can't see NE wanting a aging QB who makes a ton. BB just got rid of his and I think he wants a new cheap QB to groom. Packers won't trade him to the Bears no chance there. Miami maybe if Tua does not play well and would Rodgers wnat to go there?

Denver maybe. Hell, who knows if he even wants to still play by then.

Phoenix.....if they don’t win this year (deep run) Kingsbury does not survive. New staff , new offense .....Watt & Hopkins still there...

If it would be the Cardinals I would be up for it if they would do something like trade Murray to Chicago and then take Chicago's 1st round and their own 1st and give them both to GB for Rodgers.

While the numbers match not sure the system does. That will be an interesting call on Murray regarding fit and value if they move on.
