Saw a clip of Adam S kind of walking back about JL and Buffalo. He was asked about JL to Buffalo as DC saying he was a leading candidate. He right away said look how I worded it A leading candidate not THE leading candidate. Though he could become the leading candidate he said.

Yes, Buffalo fans are saying he sucks but maybe as a DC he may have been in over his head but as a position coach with Buffalo he seemed to do a pretty good job. So moving back to secondary coach he could once again thrive.

when he was the db coach, they had good years in 2018 and 2019, followed by one off year in 2020 (that was still decent), followed by an amazing year in 2021. the bills then switched him to linebacker coach for some odd reason for 2022 and 2023. 2024 was his first year as the dc and it wasn't pretty. but in 2025 the passing defense was very good again. honestly, i think it is a good hire.

GB has had a policy of not drafting or hiring home town heroes since what, the Harlan-Wolf days? It's obviously led to some misses like TJ Watt but on the whole I understand the thought behind it.
i don't mean to be obtuse or confrontational, but please explain what the thought behind it is. the miss on tj watt is almost unforgiveable in my eyes. hometown hero or not, he was clearly the best option at that point in the draft. trading down and drafting kevin king was a bonehead move. and then compounding that error by taking josh jones instead of juju (the very next pick) or cooper kupp (7 picks later). and then in the 3rd round, we take montravious adams? and then just to prove we aren't anti-hometown, we take vince beigel with the other pick from the trade. this has to be one of green bay's worst drafts ever. the rest of the picks: jamaal williams, deangelo yancey, aaron jones (the lone gold nugget - taken with the 39th pick in the 5th round), and then finishing up with kofi amechia, devante mays, and malachi dupre. there were a lot of bad decisions made in that draft and one very fortunate pick. aaron jones kept that draft from being a complete disaster. but it was still a disaster imho.
